ArcYear is built help-first. This page says plainly how the site is funded and what that means for you. Trip ideas with affiliate links are live; display advertising is not.
Leave Maximiser is not gated behind payment
Ranking bank-holiday bridges, adjusting your working week, filtering by allowance, sharing a plan, drafting email, and downloading a calendar file are free to use without paying. We will not put a paywall in front of the core maximiser. Future paid ideas (if any) would be extras such as sync or household features — not locking the planner.
How ArcYear earns money
When you open Plan details on a break, trip ideas link to two partners through Travelpayouts, an affiliate network: Aviasales for flights and Tiqets for things to do. If you book through one of those links, ArcYear earns a commission from the partner. It costs you nothing extra.
Every group of these links sits under a label that reads “Ad”, with a link back to this page, and the label comes before the links. If a partner’s links are switched off, they disappear; with no partner left, the trip ideas and the label go too. The rest of the page does not change.
A click goes from ArcYear to the partner through a short redirect. ArcYear does not set a cookie when you click, and it does not call a partner while your page loads. Once you reach Aviasales or Tiqets, their own sites and cookies apply — see Privacy.
No display ads today
We plan to apply for display advertising (including Google AdSense) once the site meets trust and content bars. No display ads run today. When they do, they may sit beside explainer and hub pages, but not replace maximiser results or invent leave dates, and Privacy will describe any cookies and consent steps first.
Editorial independence
Holiday dates come from our owned import of public sources, not from an advertiser. Ranking prefers leave efficiency for your inputs, and trip ideas appear only after your dates are ranked. Commercial partners cannot pay for a higher place in the opportunity list, and a commission never changes which breaks we show first.
