ArcYear is a UK leave-planning site operated at arcyear.co.uk. This page explains analytics, contact handling, and the absence of accounts. It is written for visitors and for ad or search reviewers who need a clear policy.
No accounts
You do not create an account to use the Leave Maximiser. Preferences can live in the page URL so you can share or bookmark a plan. We do not run a member database, password store, or profile system. If we add accounts later, we will update this policy before that ships.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-oriented and cookieless. It runs on visits to help us understand traffic and page speed. It does not wait for the consent banner.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — may use cookies. It loads only after you choose Accept on the consent banner. Until then, GA4 does not run.
The banner offers Accept analytics or Reject for GA4. Your choice is stored in this browser so we do not ask again on every visit. You can clear site data for arcyear.co.uk to see the banner again. Analytics help us see which nations and years people plan for and whether pages stay fast. They are not used to gate the maximiser.
Contact email
If you write to contact@arcyear.co.uk, we keep the message and any reply long enough to resolve the request, then retain ordinary email backups under our mail provider’s defaults. Do not send special-category data you would not put in ordinary email.
Affiliate links and cookies
Trip ideas link to Aviasales (flights) and Tiqets (things to do) through the Travelpayouts affiliate network, and ArcYear earns a commission on bookings made through them. See Disclosures.
- The click — sets no cookie from ArcYear. Besides the trip itself (the place, the dates and your departure airport), the link carries only a tag saying whether it came from the home page or the maximiser, so our partner reports can be matched to a page, not to you. We do not call a partner while your page loads.
- Your departure airport — saved in this browser only, in local storage. We send the airport code with each request for trip ideas and in each trip-idea link, so searches start from it. ArcYear does not store it. Like every request to the site, it appears in our Cloudflare request logs, which are deleted within 7 days. Aviasales receives it as part of the flight search.
- After the click — the link passes through Travelpayouts’ redirect (tp.media) to Aviasales or Tiqets. Those services may set their own cookies and process your data under their own policies, which we do not control. Block or clear them in your browser settings.
Advertising
No display ads run today. If they arrive (for example Google AdSense), we will update this page and show consent controls that match UK requirements before they set cookies or similar identifiers.
