What is a bridge day?
A bridge day is a normal working day you take as annual leave so it connects a weekend with a UK bank holiday into one longer break. ArcYear ranks those patterns so you can see which bridges give the best calendar stretch for the leave days you spend.
How does ArcYear maximise annual leave?
We score opportunities by off days gained versus leave days used, using your nation, working week, and optional allowance. The tool does not add fictional holidays; it reorders real bank-holiday neighbourhoods so the efficient arcs rise first.
Which UK nations are supported?
England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Holiday lists differ — always pick the nation that matches your public holiday calendar before you book anything with your employer.
Can I change my working week?
Yes. The maximiser lets you mark which weekdays you work. Part-time and compressed patterns change which bridge days matter; empty selections stay empty so the plan matches the week you actually work.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts. Shareable URLs carry nation, days, allowance, and focus so you can bookmark or send a plan without signing in. See Privacy for analytics and contact handling.
Will ArcYear stay without advertising?
No promise: trip ideas in Plan details already carry labelled “Ad” affiliate links to Aviasales and Tiqets through Travelpayouts. ArcYear earns a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you, and ranking is never paid. No display ads run today. Details live on Disclosures.
